A short window for a specific offer

A flash sale gives selected products a time-limited promotional price and quantity. It can help bring attention to a useful product, but it works best when the shop has real stock and can handle the resulting orders.

Examples include a planned household-essentials promotion or a short launch offer for a new product. Do not advertise unavailable stock or use urgency to hide important product details.

How your products enter a flash sale

The current vendor dashboard provides a Flash sale product list. It does not provide a vendor action to create a flash sale or enrol the whole store directly.

  1. Contact Soko support about an upcoming flash sale.
  2. Agree the eligible products, selling price, available quantity, period and who funds the discount.
  3. Keep the products’ stock, images and pack details correct.
  4. When Soko includes the products, review them in the flash-sale list.
  5. Promote the actual approved offer and monitor orders during its live period.

Do not announce inclusion before the items and dates are confirmed.

Read the flash-sale list

The vendor list shows the product, current stock, flash-sale quantity, quantity sold, discount, sold amount and status. Compare the stock you can actually fulfil with the promotional allocation. Sold amount is revenue information, not profit after costs.

When the offer ends or its eligible quantity runs out, stop quoting the promotional price as though it were still available. Keep a backup plan for customer questions.

Prepare the team for the offer

Before the start, count the exact pack being promoted and tell the order handler which product and period were approved. Make sure the rider can handle the delivery promise. During the sale, compare orders with the stock remaining and update unavailable products promptly.

Afterwards, open the flash-sale list for the included products and compare the allocated quantity, sold quantity and recorded amounts. Review the matching orders and discount funding before deciding whether another offer would be worthwhile. A high sold quantity is useful only when those orders can be supplied and leave an acceptable margin.

Funding matters

An admin-funded flash-sale discount has separate settlement accounting and is compensated through that funded amount. A vendor-funded portion is your expense. Agree the funding before joining; the presence of an admin-organised promotion does not automatically make every reduction free to the store.

Use the expense and earnings reports to review the result. For an offer you want to create yourself with a redemption limit, consider a coupon.
