One owner, separate working stores

A branch is a separate store location under your vendor account. Each branch has its own products, stock, orders, wallet, employees, riders and operational settings. This helps you see which location received an order and which team should fulfil it.

Your package sets how many branches you can add. The branch allowance is for additional locations beyond your main store; check the package wording before planning an expansion.

Create a branch

  1. Sign in as the owner and open branch selection/management from the store switcher.
  2. Choose Add/Create branch if your package allowance permits it.
  3. Enter the branch’s name, address, slogan where useful, zone/category, map position, contact and required images/details.
  4. Submit and follow any applicable review or activation steps.
  5. Select that branch and set its opening hours, delivery charges, products, staff and riders.
  6. Check the branch as a customer before sharing its link.

Do not assume adding the location copies a finished catalogue or a rider team from the first store. Set up and verify the new branch’s data.

Switch branches deliberately

Use the branch switcher/selection screen in the dashboard, or branch selection in Soko Store where available. Choose the location and confirm its name before changing products, accepting an order or requesting a withdrawal.

An employee account does not give the same access across branches as the owner’s account. Give staff access in the branch where they work. The owner’s subscription and the branch’s operational wallet answer different questions.

Set up the new location in the right order

For example, a business with a Mbezi shop and a Sinza shop should use each location’s real stock and pickup pin. A product available in Mbezi is not proof that the Sinza team can supply it.

  1. Select the new branch and confirm its name at the top of the working area.
  2. Save its opening hours and delivery charges, even if they happen to match the first shop.
  3. Add its products and stock, then create its staff and rider accounts.
  4. Review its wallet and withdrawal destination with the owner or authorised finance person.
  5. Open the customer-facing branch and check the address, available products and ordering information.
  6. Share the link for that location. Give its staff a separate handover routine for orders and cash.

Avoid mistakes across locations

Use recognisable names, such as the business name followed by the area. Keep location pins accurate. Review each branch’s scheduled orders and cash reconciliation separately.

Branch deletion can remove associated data and is not the right way to pause trading. Use the temporary-close control for a temporary closure. Contact support before retiring a location with financial history or unresolved orders; active orders and the final remaining branch also have deletion protections.
